The kernel package contains the Linux kernel (vmlinuz), the core of your Mageia. The kernel handles the basic functions of the operating system: memory allocation, process allocation, device input and output, etc.

This kernel is compiled for laptop use, single or multiple x86_64 processor(s)/core(s), using HZ_250 to save battery, voluntary preempt, BFS cpu scheduler, cfq i/o scheduler and some other laptop-specific optimizations.

Im thinking of buying a new box so can anyone please help me?????

I fixed mine a few weeks ago (see digivox firmware au thread)) and now its gone off again. Do I need to download the same software AGAIN or is there a later version. If you don't know how to get into the CAS menu, it's System info, press ok, the type 1004...... Its been working for the past 2 weeks since the last update so cant see why all of a sudden its started to play up.

I didnt think it was functioning as good as originally before it went off a weeks ago. I tried last night to wait for the update but it kept stopping at 50% or lower. All was working fine on Monday night, I went away with work for 2 days, came back and its all gone?

HELP NEEDED...off m8 go here Introduce Yourself and introduce yourself then the server will accept you for downloading, then while you are waiting for the server to update your details have a read through some threads on your box, i'm sure you will find something to help you Can you help please...
